About Ray

I'm Ray Buse, founder of Valor Veteran Benefits and a Navy Aviation Ordnanceman who served from 2000 to 2011, with duty stations in Fallon, Nevada; Lemoore, California; and Whidbey Island, Washington, including a deployment to Iraq.

I'm a veteran who's lived this process firsthand. Navigating the VA system can feel overwhelming, confusing, and at times downright frustrating — I know because I've been there myself. Learning the hard way. Digging through paperwork. Asking the right questions. Pushing forward when the process felt stacked against me.

What started as a personal journey to understand my own benefits turned into something bigger: real knowledge that I realized too many veterans never get access to. Through experience, persistence, and a deep commitment to learning the system, I gained a clear understanding of how VA benefits work, how to avoid common pitfalls, and how to advocate effectively for yourself. That knowledge shouldn't be locked behind trial and error or years of frustration. It should be shared.

This business exists for one reason: to help fellow veterans navigate the VA process with clarity, confidence, and support. I don't offer empty promises or shortcuts — I offer guidance rooted in real experience, straight answers, and a veteran-to-veteran approach that respects your service and your time.

Every veteran deserves to understand the benefits they've earned and to feel empowered, not lost, while pursuing them. My goal is to walk alongside you, simplify a complex system, and help you move forward informed and prepared.
